OVERVIEW

PHASE 1:
Improvements including the renovation of the Art and History Galleries: Expansion of the Art Gallery, ADA access upgrades, new metal canopies with skylights over existing walkways, life safety upgrades, replacement of the emergency generator, and expansion and enhancement of the mechanical system and other related work.
Oakland Museum of California - Phase 1 is a LEED Silver (New Construction) certified building.

Schedule: June 2008 - May 2009

Budget: $12M

PHASE 1,5:
Remodel/Renovation of High/Low Galleries, Theater, Dining and Offices and Restrooms, Kitchen and Servery. New Ticket Booths, Docent Offices, Museum Store, ADA ramp entry, Security Gates and Garage Bike Storage. Completion of upgraded Fire Alarm System throughout the facility. Misc Waterproofing Repairs.
Oakland Museum of California – Phase 1.5 will be aiming for the LEED Commercial Interiors accreditation.

Schedule: October 2009 - July 2010
Square Footage: 28,000 s.f. where major remodel work performed | 163,675 total s.f. (fire alarm scope)
