Office tenant improvement on the second floor of a building which was formerly an aircraft hangar. The floor structure – installed by a previous contractor – measured approximately 28,000 s.f. with a 5,000 s.f. opening in the middle. This floor opening was in-filled with structural steel framing and translucent panels, then spanned by a custom, stainless steel bridge. Access flooring was installed throughout the space and created a plenum for the HVAC system as well as the electrical and telephone data wiring. Skylights were installed in the roof. The freestanding partitions were constructed of heavy gauge metal framing to compensate for the extensive amount of glazing in the walls and ceilings. Premium finishes included veneer plaster and wood paneling.
