Salvation Army - Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center & Railton Place Housing

240-242 Turk Street, San Francisco

Construction of 113 studio and two bedroom apartments over a community center in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood. The facility included a pool, a gymnasium, locker rooms, a chapel, a kitchen, aerobic/dance studios, classrooms, office spaces and a landscaped courtyard on the third floor that features a climbing wall. There is one level of below grade parking. This concrete and steel frame structure was constructed on top of a 3’ thick mat slab. The scope of work was expanded after the initial contract and design to include air conditioning for all public spaces. Cahill self-performed the concrete on this project.

"I have worked with contractors the past 22 years as an officer, (I remodel & build every where I go!), and you have been the most professional and efficient team I have yet to encounter. You are one company that I would use again, which is rarely the case!  Thank you."
