Transbay Block 6
Transbay Block 6 is part of the Transbay Redevelopment Area and is a new 32 story high-rise tower of 402 market rate apartment units with 6,400 s.f. of retail space on the ground floor & three stories (seven units) of market rate townhomes. In addition, an eight-story mid-rise building of affordable housing contains approximately 2,200 s.f. of retail space and 70 affordable units. Work includes streetscape improvements, the construction of Clementina Alley & a shared 40,785 s.f. single basement underground parking garage with 132 stalls. The work was managed by a new entity “BB/CC” which is a 50/50 Joint Venture between Balfour Beatty and Cahill Contractors, involving a fully integrated team approach.
