Kathryn Cahill Thompson

Kathryn joined Cahill Contractors as a Project Engineer in 2007, becoming the fourth generation of the Cahill family to work in the construction business. Prior to taking on the CEO role in 2016, Kathryn worked in project management and preconstruction on projects spanning affordable housing, market rate condominiums, senior housing, and religious facilities. Kathryn also has played a key role in spearheading Cahill’s use of technology to support project management and operations.
Prior to Cahill, Kathryn worked in management consulting at Mercer Management Consulting (now Oliver Wyman), in nonprofit consulting for the Bridgespan Group, and in finance for the Oakland Unified School District. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Steering Committee for the annual Construction Industry Lunch-O-Ree benefitting the San Francisco Bay Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
