Reconstruction of ACT's Geary Theater in San Francisco following damage sustained in the 1989 earthquake. Scope included following extensive and very stringent requirements set by the State Office of Historic Preservation for the preservation and restoration of original decorative plaster, wood paneling, doors, and the terra cotta exterior. The addition of seismic strengthening elements to the structure required removal of many items classified as historic; these original elements were removed, restored and reinstalled.
